Chief Happiness Officer 2023

Quarter 1 - Charley!

In today’s fast-paced and demanding work environments, the importance of mental health and well-being cannot be overstated. At Autograph Events, we firmly believe that a happy and healthy team is the cornerstone of success. That’s why we have made it our mission to prioritise mental health and well-being in the workplace.

We understand that a positive work environment has a direct impact on employee morale, engagement, and productivity. We are committed to fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes mental health and well-being. We encourage open communication, empathy, and a strong support system, ensuring that our team feel valued, heard, and supported throughout their journey!

That’s why we have designated a dedicated Chief Happiness Officer (CHO) to oversee and implement initiatives that promote happiness and well-being. Every quarter or so (depending on how busy we become!), we assign one of our brilliant team as the CHO! The CHO is given a budget in which they can do absolutely anything to promote happiness and put smiles on everyone’s faces. Whether it be funny mugs for our tea breaks, a yoga class, massage therapy, drinks out – the possibilities are endless – as long as it makes everyone smile (and its not illegal 😉).

This quarter, our Charley had been crowned CHO, and she set out to spread the cheer after an extremely busy start to the year. Charley took the team out on a sunny afternoon to the local porcelain factory to show off the team’s artistic skills with pottery painting. Its fair to say it did make everyone laugh and take time out to relax, even those who thought they had no artistic skills (Victoria) really surprised themselves! Later in the month, she organised a surprise Brunch in the office to coincide with Rachel’s Birthday and Jess’ pending nuptials.  Food is the way to the team’s heart and with an abundance of pastries, fruit, cake and M&S Yumnuts the team enjoyed a relaxed Friday morning stuffing their faces, laughing and celebrating the girls upcoming celebrations!

The CHO crown will now be passed onto (drumroll)………Rachel! We can’t wait to see what she has in store!
