Amsterdam FAM Trip 2024
In mid-April 2024, Our Event Manager, Charley, received an invitation from Hosmark Hotels and Minor Hotels for a weekend trip to Amsterdam.
Given the city’s current status as a hot destination for events, Charley couldn’t pass up the opportunity to explore the amazing hotels and attractions the city has to offer. The group travelled by Eurostar from London to Amsterdam, arriving in under 4 hours! The journey was seamless and fuss-free, allowing for a relaxing experience. With no luggage restrictions, it truly felt like a first-class experience.
Upon arrival in Amsterdam, the group was taken slightly outside the city to the coast to check into the impressive 4-star NH Conference Centre Leeuwenhorst. This conference venue has 513 rooms and an impressive 123 meeting rooms, with the largest room capable of accommodating up to 2000 delegates. The hotel’s layout allows for sections to be privatised, offering a sense of exclusivity if desired. Following a grand tour, the group enjoyed a delightful dinner at Alexander Beach Club, a hidden gem close to Amsterdam’s coastline. The food was an impeccable quality and the atmosphere made Charley feel very VIP.
The following day, the group had the privilege of attending the picturesque Bloemencorso Bollenstreek Street Flower Festival before returning to Amsterdam City Centre. The journey was swift, passing through breathtaking tulip fields and scenic towns/villages.
Charley and the group then checked into the luxurious 5-star Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam, famous for hosting royal celebrations and world conventions for over 150 years. With 402 luxurious rooms and meeting spaces accommodating up to 1500 guests in total, the hotel offers an ideal setting for events. Notable among its features is the Wintergarden restaurant, an absolute showstopper sure to leave a lasting impression. The group were extremely lucky to experience a magnificent lunch at The White Room, a Michelin-starred restaurant within the hotel, where the quality of food and faultless service left Charley thoroughly impressed. Following lunch, the group embarked on a champagne canal boat tour, exploring the city’s historic canals and famous landmarks before concluding the evening with a luxurious dinner at the TOBACCO Theatre. This versatile venue, perfect for dinners, drinks receptions, or conferences, offers six unique rooms accommodating up to 450 people, promising a truly unforgettable experience.
The next morning, the group had some free time to wander the streets of Amsterdam before returning in style on the Eurostar to London. Amsterdam proves to be an ideal location for incentives and conferences, boasting an array of amazing venues for meetings, dinners, and entertainment.
